Biographical[]

James Eveligh is a Krytan man born to a landed knight, Gerald Eveligh, and his wife Rose Eveligh. The family was a successful one; his father renowned as one of the predominant champions to a noble by the name of Lord Ferun Beaurat residing within the city of Divinity's Reach and his mother was the daughter of a wealthy merchant. The two maintained a loving relationship which was, in the whole, a happy one. James Eveligh was instructed in a high-class education revolving around the arts, the sciences and theology (via the generosity of Lord Baeurat) while being taught both the proper mannerisms and responses becoming of an individual who would spend the majority of his life serving the upper echelon of society. He was also taught of the details of war and was expected to continue his father's reputation when the time came.

At the age of fifteen, James' father suffered what would be a fatal wound through the course of battle during an unfortunate centaur raid on the estate of Lord Beaurat, which was nestled comfortably within the hills of Queensdale. He died hours later, with both his wife and child at his bedside at the age of forty seven. Rose and James were taken under the wing of the gracious noble, however, through grief and depression his mother passed away by manner of sickness and an unwillingness to continue on -- four months following the loss of her husband -- at the age of thirty nine. Lord Beaurat practically adopted James following the two losses he suffered and, having no son of his own yet, quickly came to look to James as his own.

Through the next three years, James served as squire and attendant to Lord Beaurat. In return, he was taught the intricate details of swordplay and soldiering. On the day of his eighteenth birthday, Lord Beaurat set the man to take his vows. He held no expectations in regards to his servitude and due to the connection of both his mother and father's death with the family , thought it best he forge his path on his own. He took the vows of a hedge knight; a soldier which, for lack of a better term, sought out frequent reemployment with various nobles and leaders.

Within months of his knighthood, James found himself in the employment of the Seraph. He served within their ranks for eleven years, six of which were alongside friend and ally Hugoh Sinclair. The two forged a bond of brotherhood and have remained friends and, after a pivotal moment in their careers, resigned and were honorably discharged. The two remained unemployed following their discharge until they stumbled upon a notice within the city, issued by a Countess Amacynth Arondel and thus their induction into the family came into being.

Personality[]

James Eveligh is a reasonably variable man in terms of personality. During both work and in large crowds, he tends to be a serious individual. His way of speech is polite and well-enunciated with little discernible accent to set him apart from the majority of Kryta. His voice is neither too deep or high and remains in a balance between the two. In private and in small company, his personality could potentially be far more easy-going and leisurely.

James Eveligh is a somewhat - according to some - handsome man with tanned, olive skin. His face tends to hold a slight stubble and his hair is maintained as to remain flavorful and neat, however, it has a slight natural curl to it. His eyes are a pale blue and stand out strikingly, contrasting with the more natural hues of his hair and skin.

The guardian tends to frequent heavy armour made of steel. His tabard varies between the red of his family's colours and those of House Arondel's, brown and gold.
